Lessons 14 & 15: Detailed explanation with video about 14th & 15th Arabic letters Saad & Daad

Welcome to our new Arabic Lessons, today we will have 2 letters with 2 lessons which are the Saad & the Daad.

And we see in our previous lessons most of the Arabic alphabets are classified into groups, and every group of letters well be written mostly the same, and usually the only difference is the dots locations. So let us start with the new letters for today whch are the Saad ص & Daad ض.

As we always do we will learn how to write and pronounce the letters in the 3 main different formations, again the the three formations are the (Fatha, Kasra & Damma).

Saad:
The letter Saad is written as ص, Now let us take a look
with the 3 different formations.
  • Fatha: the Saad with the Fatha is written as صَ and pronounced as Sa.
  • Kasra: the Saad with tthe Kasra is written as صِ and pronounced as Se.
  • Damma: the Saad with the Damma is written as صُ and pronounced as So.

Daad:
The letter Daad is written exactly as the Saad but we have a dot above the letter, So it will look like this ض, Saw that? it's exactly as the Saad but we just added a dot, east isn't it :) ?
So let us take a look at the Daad with the 3 formations.
  • Fatha: the Daad with the Fatha is written as ضَ  and pronounced as Da.
  • Kasra: the Daad with the Kasra is written as ضِ and written as De.
  • Damma: the Daad with the Damma is written as ضُ and pronounced as Do

Here is the answer, The Arabic language is callled the language of (Daad), your next question will be "Why is't called the language of Daad?",,, The letter Daad, and the way it's pronounced with, there is no such a language worldwide that have the same pronunciation as the Daad, and if you have heared the video you will recognize that there is no language world wide that have a letter with the same pronunciation as the Daad in the Arabic, and it's the hardest letter ever in the Arabic language to be pronounced.
