Lessons 8 & 9: Detailed explanation with video about 8th & 9th Arabic letters Daal & Thaal

Hello guys to our new Arabic lesson for today. To make Learning Arabic easy for you we divided the letter into groups classified on the similarity of the way these letters written in, so our 1st group was the letter Baa'a, Taa'a & Thaa'a, and they were written as ب ت ث, As you cab see they almost look the same except the place and number of dots., And then we studied the letters Geem, Haa'a and Khaa'a ج ح خ, We are also talking about the places the dots are located in.

Our 3rd group is the 2 letters Daal & Thaal.

Daal:
The letter Daal is written like د, very simple as piece of cake, the 3 formations of letter Daal...

  • Daal with the fatha is pronounced as Da, Written as دَ.
  • The letter Daal with the Kasra is pronouced as De, written as دِ.
  • And the Daal with the Damma is pronounced as Do, Written as دُ.
Yes now take a pen and write them down, yes now do it :)




Thaal:
Now we will learn our second letter which is called Thaal, and written as ذ. regarding the letter Thaal you SHOULD watch the below video to know the right pronunciation of this letter. The letter Thaal with the 3 formations is as follows...

  • Thaal with Fatha is pronounced as Tha, written as ذَ.
  • Thaal with the formation of kasra is pronounced as Thee, and written as ذِ.
  • Finally the Thaal with the Damma is pronounced as Thoo, and finally written as ذُ.



After you watched the 2 videos and read the previous two paragraphs you realized the common way of writing the two letters as د & ذ. Now you should make sure that you learned how to write both letters.
